February is Black History Month in Canada, a time to honour the legacies, celebrate the resilience, and acknowledge the contributions of Black Canadians throughout history.
At Veracity LD, we recognize that Black History is not just a moment, it’s a movement. One rooted in family, faith, perseverance, and community building. This month, we’re inspired by the stories of everyday families who fought for education, financial dignity, and a future their children could inherit with pride.
Why This Matters to Us
Many of our families, especially those from immigrant and minority backgrounds, are still building that first generation of wealth. For too long, systemic barriers kept Black families from accessing the same financial tools and protections as others. But today, things are changing, and we’re here to help lead that change.
From RESPs and life insurance to trusts, annuities, and investment plans, we believe that knowledge and access are the most powerful tools we can pass on. Financial literacy is legacy-building. It’s one of the most powerful forms of activism.
This Month at Veracity LD Canada
We’re using February to highlight:
- Canadian Black leaders who paved the way in business, education, and politics.
- Practical strategies for building wealth in Black and immigrant families.
- Stories of resilience from within our own communities.
We believe financial education is a form of justice. And when families are equipped with the right tools, they build futures that honour the past, and change the next 100 years.
“Every generation has the chance to break a cycle or build a bridge. Let’s build something future generations can stand on.”
